DIY Wooden Blocks

We wanted our first DIY project here to be something simple, inexpensive and can be shared experience with our little ones! One of the staples in every playroom is a good set of blocks!! There is simply no magic to it! Our kids like to stack them, tumble them, use them to make tunnels, dolly houses... the options are endless and this is one toy that stick with them until they're older too!

Here's what you need ::

Wooden Blocks - can be found in craft stores or dollar stores. Ours found in?Daiso (!!)

Paint

Cheap brushes

Paint Palette (optional)

Washi Tape (optional)

Water

One - Prep the colors! We like working from a color palette so they look pretty as a set! But, there aren't really any rules so knock yourselves out!

Two - Paint. There are no rules. Stripes, smiley faces, dots, shapes, alphabets... any and everything under the sun!

We like recruiting out little people to help with the painting but be prepared for a few more spills and less uniformed style and colors.

Its great as a gift (complete with a little drawstring bag) and leave it at your door so you can grab it on the go as a great travel/mealtime toy.

Also, if you often have playdates at home and are running out of ideas, this is a fun and inexpensive activity to keep all little hands busy!
