DIY :: Hand Sketched Pillows

We've always been huge fans of Anthropologie and was a little heart broken when this guy was sold out! So we thought long and hard and decided that something had to be done!!
So we toyed around with some sketches and gathered our resources!!
What you need ::
Fabric pen (we went with a simple brown)
Fabric (a soft cotton for us because we wanted it to be relaxed and comfy)
Stationery for sketching
Sewing machine/Needle and thread
Cushion or Machine-washable batting!
We went with the animal du jour - Bunny and Puppy! and experimented with two different fabrics. both less than $8 per meter.
Measured the size of pillow + 2 inches. The puppy dog was straight-forward pillow case sewing! If you're a beginner, can't go wrong with it!!
We decided to get a bit creative with Bunny and make a shaped pillow instead!! So trim the edges with pinking shears to prevent fraying.
Flip the fabric inside own and sew along the edges leaving a two inch opening for stuffing!
Flip the cushion inside out and stuff the tail with batting! And when you've reached it's desired fluffiness, seal the pillow using slip stitch or blanket stitch (for a more home-made feel!)
There you have it! Two adorable home-made throw pillows that didn't cost a bomb and adorable to dress your child's room with! Hope you enjoyed it and hope you come back for more DIY ideas!
