DIY :: No Sew Valentine's Bag Tutorial

Let's take a break from our "Spotlight on..." series for this special occasion of LOVE!!!
It's 14 Feb?tomorrow and what better time than to shower your family and little darlings with love than on Valentine's Day!? Here in Le Petit Society, we take any chance we get to celebrate love! So here's a little present you can put together for your child or anyone you love.
Here's what you need :: Felt, Ribbon, Hot glue gun and something to fill the bag with. Everything else.. optional!
Ready or not... Here we go! We start off by measuring how big we want our bag to be! And cut a pattern using a scrap piece of paper (or if you're cheesy like me... a paper filled with hearts!!)
You need two pieces of felt for each bag. Why felt?, you ask. Felt doesn't fray and is super easy to work with! It holds its own form and is easy to hide errors!!
Cut a (2) little pieces of ribbon. This would be the "tabs"?to hold the straps. This is approximate 3cm in length.
Hot glue the ribbon tabs in place and the "V" of the heart together, leaving the top open for you to fill with goodies!!
Just to illustrate this better, I've use a contrasting color tab! So you measure the length you need the straps to be (i like cross bodies on little babies!), string it through the tab and fasten with a double knot. I added a wooden bead so it looks extra cute! (p.s. beads are a choking hazard so don't use it's for a young child!)
Fill with fluff (optional) and goodies of your choice!! I made this for my son to give out to his cutiepoopsie classmates! So I added a cheesy note "We make a great PAIR!" Geddit!? :)
Here you go! Easy peasy Valentine's day bag stuffed full of love! Hope you get to make one for someone you love!
Lots of kisses from us as always,
xoxo
